    Special Project: Autism Resources

Welcome to CIDA’s Autism Resource Page. We understand that navigating the intricate world of healthcare and education becomes even more complex when facing an autism diagnosis. This is particularly evident within our Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, where autism diagnoses are becoming increasingly common. According to the U.S. Department of Education, Asian children are 2.37 times more likely to be identified with Autism compared to all students with disabilities (SY 2020).

In our communities, unique challenges like cultural stigmas, language barriers, and limited resources can contribute to delayed diagnoses and create hurdles in obtaining appropriate intervention and services. Recognizing these issues, CIDA has created this resource page for parents. Our aim is to offer you clear, easy-to-understand information, bridging the gap between complex jargon and accessible knowledge. We hope this resource serves as a reliable starting point for you and your family, guiding and empowering you to seek the support you deserve.
