Board Members

CIDA has been supported by a group of people who have big ideas, and have the capacity to make those ideas happen to help the community. CIDA has grown strong because of these leaders’ effective approaches in decision making and outreach. CIDA currently is supported by nine Board of Directors. As a federally recognized Parent Center, more than 50% of board memberships are occupied by parents of children with disabilities.  Many CIDA Board members were recruited among families of children and young adults with disabilities. This is to reflect the Board’s belief to maintain the integrity and focus of our program on CIDA’s original mission. The list of Other Board Directors is provided below.


John Jahng

Board Chair

The Board Chair, Mr. John Jahng worked at Earnest & Young for six years and was a Managing Director at Tiger Asia more

Management for nine years. Presently, he works as a consultant for several investment firms. He received a B.A. in Economics and M.B.A. in Finance and Management from New York University.

Dr. Changrae Kim, DPM


Secretary, Dr. Changrae Kim, is a podiatrist and the Assistant Secretary-General at Korean-American Medical more

Practitioners Association of New York (KAMPANY).  He joined the board of directors in 2017 and has been a dedicating member for last four years.

Mrs. Kyunghwa Kim


Treasurer, Mrs. Kyunghwa Kim is the owner of Dasol Corporation. She is a parent of a child with a disability and a graduate more

of Volunteer Advocacy Project 2019.
