Ahra Sung
My name is Ahra Sung and I am 24 years old.
Question: What are some improvements or personal growth that you see in yourself from Transition @ CIDA classes?
- I started working on those important life skills, like cooking more food and showing my cooking videos, helping me transition into the adult world once I’m done with school, setting my goals, learning important stuff on various things I want to do in the future, improving my money management skills and finance knowledge, improving my time management and knowing how to do more chores. I also worked on my self-advocacy if I want accommodation for work and learning how to speak up for myself. Lastly, I worked on coping with my feelings and exploring different hobbies.
Question: What message do you want to send out to parents/the public about students with disabilities?
- It’s important to teach students with disabilities these important life skills once they enter the adult world and finish school. It’s important to take advantage of these resources such as the resources here from CIDA.

- I have made many improvements through CIDA. For example, I learned different cooking skills, money management, and self-advocacy. I learned how to set goals and different social skills.
Question: What message do you want to send out to parents/the public about students with disabilities?
- We make our dreams, and students with disabilities have a lot of dreams. Like CIDA says together, we can make disability a possibility.
