Back again this year, our popular youth program, Self-Determination Academy, will start on Tuesday, June 29. This special program is designed to teach teens and young adults with disabilities about self-determination and self-advocacy skills. During the program, students will learn how to 1) set goals for themselves, 2) take steps to achieve set goals, and 3) advocate their rights as individuals with disabilities. This is a free program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs.

When: June 29 (Tues.) – June 30 (Weds.) @ 10 AM to 12 PM (EST)
Where: ONLINE through Zoom
Who: High School Students and Young Adults under the age of 26.

CIDA의 인기프로그램. 자기결정아카데미 (Self-Determination Academy) 가 올해도 6월 29일 다시 시작됩니다. 이 프로그램은 장애청소년과 청년들에게 자기결정기술과 자기옹호기술을 가르치는 매우 특별한 프로그램입니다. 프로그램 기간동안, 참가자들은 여러가지 활동과 토론을 통해 미래에 대한 목표와 성취해가는 계획, 그리고 장애를 가진 청년으로서의 권리옹호에 대한 교육을 받게 됩니다.  자기결정아카데미는 미연방교육부 특수교육부와 CIDA 의 파트너쉽으로 진행됩니다.

시간 및 날짜: 6월 29일 (화) – 6월 30일 (수) 아침 10시 – 오후 12시 (EST)
장소: 온라인 (Zoom) 
대상: 고등학교 (올해 9월 기준) 재학생 및 26세 이하의 청년
